November 1st is "Sushi Day."

Since 1997, November 1st has been "Sushi Day." On this special day, all Member restaurants of the Sushi Society of Washington, D.C. (Niwanohana, Matuba, Sushitaro, Sushizen, Tachibana, Takogrill, Yosaku) will serve the sushi at the same time for the same price. Why this day? It marks the first day of the season where the new rice crop arrives, the fish are plump, the air is clear, and the sky is high, to prepare for the hungry season. Every year, we continue to prompt "Sushi Day" and create more sushi lovers in the U.S.
