NATIONAL SUSHI SOCIETY, Inc.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the National Sushi Society, Inc. is to ensure that an understanding and awareness of Japanese culture, tradition, techniques and correct food preparation of sushi and Japanese cuisine continue on into the future in the United States.
- The foundation of correct preparation of sushi and Japanese food is a tradition that the National Sushi Society’s members continue to promote through study and teaching as a contribution to American society.
- The National Sushi Society Inc. can study and learn more about sushi creation and Japanese food preparation from the Japanese Sushi Society members. By coming together to study with them, we can improve our efforts to spread knowledge and raise awareness of Japanese culture and food to American society.
- Through constant study, the National Sushi Society members gain more knowledge and improved techniques for Japanese food preparation. There is a synthesis of effect from our constant study that translates into improved taste and presentation at all our member restaurants.
- Sushi Society Activities:
- Sushi making exhibition each spring
(1) Results in improved sushi making & Japanese food preparation techniques
(2) Improved knowledge of food management and hygiene
(3) Character development of participants
- Sushi Day : November 1
November 1 is the traditional sushi day in Japan, and we also honor it here in America as a way of increasing Japanese cultural awareness.
- Through these activities and other contributions, we can serve and contribute to the area society.
- Through mutual cooperation among members, we are able to constantly improve the National Sushi Society Inc..
